Universidad Complutense Madrid: Intercultural Observatory


Created in 2007 by Asunción López-Varela (SIIM coordinator) and hosted and funded by Complutense University Madrid, the activity of the blog is located in the field of humanities, media studies and the social sciences, focusing on the study of culture in all of its products and processes. The blog aims at  putting the theoretical knowledge tought in class into practice by encouraging a philosophy of exchanges, mutual appreciation, inclusion, and interaction  between students. Welcome to the Intercultural Observatory, a blog committed to the dissemination and the practice of experiental and participatory approaches and activities in the teaching and study of culture and its products.
Topics and their ensuing blog debates enable discussion on a wide variety of themes and motifs on subjects of culture thus engaging in intercultural communication and intercultural practice. The blog provides links to news, other blogs of interest, as well as practical activities promoting intercultural dialogue. 
This blog is moderated. Participants are able to post comments; however, the website administrators may delete inappropriate comments. Before deletion, the website administrator will contact the author of the posting.
